           The type of rocks is the mixture of igneous-granite and Ryolite. These rocks are the most ancient rocks in this world. This holy place is surrounded by the sand dunes in the mountain range. The running water of the spring passes through prostrating the temple. This place always echoes with the soothing sounds of the birds and animals.

Weather

           Jalore district has a tropical and subtropical weather, but having almost 1 km. above, the weather of Sundha Mountain is a little defferent from the rest. In summer, due to the presence of the sand dunes, it is not much affected by them, but the nights are rather pleasant and cool here.

Rivers and Springs

           Sundha Mountain is the source of Sagi, Chandroi and Dhani rivers. These three rivers meet jointly near Rajpura village. The temple of Sangeshwar (Sangameshwar), Lord Mahadev is located at this junction.

Sagi River

           This River was called 'Shravant'i and 'Shrvanti' according to Shrimal Mahatmya. The very Shravanti River is called "Saagi" in local tongue. The source of it is "Ooni Kuee" (Ooni Beri) located above on the mountain, from where the waters come along by three sides. Further it turns towards "Pataliyon ki Paz" passing the temple's yard.

           Sagi River is also known as the Ganges of Sundha (Sagi ganga snan kuretam paap nivarat sada). By the Shrimal Mahatmya, Lord Shiva once bathed in this river and praised it as whosoever would take bathe in this river and worship Him (Shiva), would not have any sorrow even in his generations. The flow of river is towards the North from the South East. So a saying is famous here as (Sundho futo oondho)

Chandroi and Dhani River

           Chandroi River begins to flow from Sundha Region near Khodeshwar Mahadev and Dhani River flows from South-East slope of Sundha Mountain. Both the rivers merge into Sagi River near Rajpura. Later the very Sagi River mingles into Looni River crossing Jhab (Tehsil Sanchore) and Bali (Tehsil Bhinmal).

Beautiful Waterfall

           Sagi River shapes into a lovely waterfall when it comes up to Pataliyon ki Paz. It falls into a natural tank from the height of 40 feet. Many visitors enjoy here bathing.

Vegetation

           The entire Sundha Mountain is imbued with various vegetables. The natural splendour and perfumed atmosphere thoroughly enchant the visitors. It proves its name as 'Saugandhrik Giri' aptly. There was Jamboo Vana here according to the Shrimal Mahatmya. It is mentioned in the inscription of Chachigdeva that the Ketaki Vana was located here. This Vana is beautifully described in this inscription.

           The vales are the treasure of vegetables and herbs of many sorts. This place is equally precious in the view of medicine. There are some important trees and herbs that are found here as following:

           Adusa, Adusi, Aaindra, Aak, Mango, Areetha, Amla, Tamarind, Indrok, Ambra, Kadaiya, Kaboi, Karamala, Karonda, Kumatia, Pandamus, Kemach, Kolai, Date, Kerana, Kher(Catechu), Gangeru (Ruddle), Gwarpatha, Google, Goonda, Goondi, Gokharu, Jamalgota, Jamfal, Black Berry, Jobati, Tamati, Cactus, Dhava, Palas, Palal, Kola, Peepal, Acacia, Bamboo, Bilva, Behada, Bhakar, Kanda, Rangawel, Vata, Sheesham, Satyanashi, Safed Musali, Saraguda, Sahsmusali, Salar, Sebala, Selani, etc.

           It is described in the Shrimal Mahatmya that the fruits of Bilva tree, found in abundance on Saugandhrika Mountain, were applied to cure the consumption.

Birds and Animals

           The natural beauty of Sundha Tirtha is elegant. The vallies provide perfect shelter for various kinds of birds and animals here. Cheetah, Aadhbaghera, Reecha, Monkey, Porcupine, Chamois, Rabbit, Partridge, Peacock, Cuckoo, Pigeon, Parrot, Kareva, Fowl, etc. animals and birds are found here in more or less quantity. Different species of snakes are also discovered here. Butterflies are seen here in abundance, hovering over the flowers.
