| Bhurbhuwa Tirtha |
|
|
According to the sequence of the Tirtha in the Shrimal Mahatmya, Bhurbhuwa
Tirtha is located between Sarvamangala Devi Tirtha and Nandini Lokmata Tirtha.
This Tirtha is a replica of Bhurbhuwasweshwar Tirtha of Sundha Tirtha.
Mrikand Rishi had no issue and he was unable to visit Bhurbhuwasweshwar Tirtha,
situated on Saugandhik Mountain, because of his old age. He along with
his wife founded a Shivalinga below and worshipped Lord Bhurbhuwasweshwar.
After the twenty third year of their worshipping, Lord Shiva appeared and
offered them to beg something. Mrikand Rishi, consequently, wished to Lord
Shiva to live on this Tirtha. For he would definitely get a child by His blessing.
On request of Mrikand Rishi, Devi appeared in a ditch before him. Devi became
happy and offered him to beg something. Mrikand Rishi requested her to live there
for the welfare of her devotees. Devi contended him and said that the very ditch
of water, from where she appeared, would be famous as Aghateshwari in the world.
The ditch, from which she came out, would always be full of pure water and blessings
for human beings. Having said so, Lord Maheshwar and Parvati disappeared.
Mrikand Rishi got a vigorous son named Markandeya by the blessings of Lord Shiva
and this place popularized as Bhurbhuwa Tirtha.

| Nagini Tirtha |
|
|
This Tirtha is located on the way to the waterfall, descending towards
Rajpura from the main temple, in the left before Pataliyon ki Paz. It is a huge
and open rock under which a natural cave is built. This cave is shaped into a
room constructing a wall towards North-West, in which the sages have their rest.
A small and new platform is built near the gate and nine or ten broken statues of
ancient times are placed upon it. Although, at present, this Tirtha is seen as
remains but we get surprising details about its dignity in the Shrimal Mahatmya, as following:

Having afflicted with the curse of their mother, the snakes did great
penance to persuade Devi (Goddess) in Shrimal Region in Satyayuga. Devi Uma
appeared and pleased with their great devotion. She made them carefree that
they had no fear in this region. Devi offered them to beg something. On which
they stated that that would be the superior boon for them if Devi herself
resided on that pious Tirtha till the end of the universe and imparted blessings
to Her devotees. Devi promised them that She would be popular as Nagini on this region.

Rishi Vashishtha speaks in the Shrimal Mahatmya that by mere glimpse
of Devi Nagini, human beings can be set free from the fear of Hell.
