Though the devotees come here throughout the year, but the greatest rush is witnessed
during both the festivals of Navaratri. The acts of Yagya are performed and vigils are
arranged on this festival. Bhurbhuwasweshwar has been a sacred place for the devotees of
Lord Shiva from ancient time. According to the Shrimal Mahatmya, the worship ceremony of
Chaturdashi of Shukla Paksha of Margashirsha has a most significant role. Generally a
considerable rush of devotees is seen every month from Trayodashi of Shukla Paksha to Purnima.
